2The Russell County Club will join the Buchanan County Club for the annual Burke's Garden trip.  We'll meet at the Tazewell Hardees at 8:00.  From there, it's across the mountain and into the Garden.  Last year's trip produced Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, and Rough-legged Hawks as well as numerous other interesting species.  Perhaps Ed Talbott III will guarantee snipe.  Trip report in PDF format is here.

3Trip leader will be Tom Hunter.  For this date only, we have permission to bird some property that is normally closed to the public.  It is part of the the Ratliff Land Conservancy.  Meet at the Wardell Park & Ride at 1 pm.  The Wardell Park & Ride is located on the north side of Little River where US 19 crosses it.  Here's a report in PDF format.

4
The walk will begin at 8:15.  Participants should meet at Slate's Campground on Route 672 between Blackford and Honaker.  You can get breakfast at Honaker High School starting at 7:00.
